Play Canadian | Feature – Inhuman Resources: A Literary Machination

// Inhuman Resources

Inhuman Resources: A Literary Machination is described as a Severance-like RPG. While the idea to attach your game to one of the year’s hottest shows just after it ended is a smart marketing tactic, it’s also seems like a very apt description. To pull from the game’s Steam page:

Take part in an expansive choose-your-own-adventure horror story, where you’ll uncover the secrets of an anachronistic corporation reigning over a post-truth world. Solve cryptic riddles, make difficult choices, and escape the depths of SMYRNACORP with your mind intact, no matter the cost.

With hundreds of possible story routes, multiple endings, interactive puzzles and RPG elements, INHUMAN RESOURCES aims to elevate the traditional reading experience to more immersive, engaging heights, without forgoing the satisfaction of a well-crafted story.

This is a visual novel in the truest sense, but the visual design of it helps set it apart. It’s a clean and interesting yet minimal style. The game released earlier this month on April 16th.
